Simona Simpson-Thomas

Providence

Simona Simpson-Thomas is the Director of Multiple Pathways for the Providence Public School District. Prior to this position, she was the Director of Multiple Pathways and ELA curriculum coach at the Highlander Charter School, where she taught for over twelve years. She earned her Bachelors Degree in History from Howard University and her Masters Degree in Teaching from Brown University. She is an invested, passionate, and caring educator who believes that all children can learn and succeed.
ACHIEVEMENTS
  • Supported two district admin teams in developing vision for blended and personalized learning
  • Piloted personalized learning platform and shared results with Fuse community
  • Participated in state design team to develop strategy for use of OER in blended learning classrooms
