Central Falls

Paula is currently a fifth grade teacher and induction coach at Calcutt Middle School in Central Falls, RI. She's passionate about working in urban settings and advocating for educational equity for all students. She is so excited to be a Fuse Fellow so that she may continue to advocate for all students while improving her practice and supporting other educators who want to embark on the shift to blended & personalized learning. Paula's educator superpower is organization and creating a positive classroom environment and culture so that students may feel safe and take risks.
ACHIEVEMENTS
  • Continued her BL/PL journey from an early adopter to advanced practitioner to presenter, Fuse Fellow, & coach
  • Collaborated to bring the ECET2RI experience to more districts
  • Leaned further into her vulnerability as she shared her “why” for teaching
