Kristen is the principal at Captain Isaac Paine Elementary School in Foster, RI. The possibilities that come with blended learning excite Kristen. She has seen this educational change re-engage some of the most challenging students in her building and reinvent them into enthusiastic and invested learners. She also loves learning with others and forming a network with educators who are as passionate about technology and blended learning as she is. Finally, she has always enjoyed coaching and supporting educators with their learning and implementation.
ACHIEVEMENTS
  • Recipient of Fuse RI Ignite Award
  • Presented at R.I. Association of School Principal's Summer Conference on Project Based Learning
  • Hosted over 20 school site visits so educators in and out of RI could observe our school's implementation of blended and personalized learning.
  • One of three schools in RI to be awarded a $200,000 Lighthouse Schools Grant to continue work on personalized learning in my school.
