Blackstone Valley PrepDavid is the Dean of College and Careers and a Founding Member of the Blackstone Valley Prep High School Leadership Team. He is always excited and motivated by the challenges that accompany innovation, especially in the realm of teaching and learning. He is thrilled to be able to learn from and innovate with an incredible group of colleagues from around the state, who will push his thinking, development and ultimately his plan for blended learning and personalization for his district and the state. David is consistently inspired by the work done by the entire team at Highlander. He knows that his students and the students in Rhode Island have benefitted and will benefit from all the amazing work that Fuse Fellows do, and is humbled to be a part of it.
ACHIEVEMENTS
- Coached 3 early adopter teachers at Martin MS
- Shared Summit Learning Platform expertise with multiple stakeholders across the state
- Worked with the College and Career team at BVP to ensure 100% of graduating seniors had a suitable college or career placement plan after graduation, with 97% of scholars attending at least a 2 year institution
