Andrea Gardiner

South Kingstown

Andrea is a middle school EL teacher at Broad Rock Middle School in South Kingstown. She is excited to be a Fuse Fellow because of the opportunity to learn from and share ideas with other teachers who are equally interested in personalized and blended learning. She also wants to be a voice for EL students and find new and exciting ways to use personalized and blended learning to meet their needs in the classroom. Andrea's educator superpower is advocating for her students. As an EL teacher she work with students that have different learning needs because they are learning a second or even a third language while they are also learning new content. Each student is different and it is her job to identify their needs and make sure they have the tools and resources needed to learn.
