WesterlyKristen is a first grade teacher at State Street Elementary School in Westerly, RI. Kristen is excited about being a Fuse Fellow because she loves to learn! She is ready to bring her teaching into the 21st century and to enter into the exciting world of blended learning. She is confident that this will help her to grow as an educator, and allow her students to experience learning in a way that they never thought was possible!
ACHIEVEMENTS
- Supported middle and high school early adopter teachers in Smithfield, RI for two years
- Tech liaison for State Street school in Westerly
- Painted a green screen wall in her elementary school for all students and staff to access. In the process of creating a Shark Tech Lab in her school to help inspire fellow teachers to experiment with new technology with their students.
- Presented with a colleague at a district Unconference around useful apps for the classroom
